What you get:
BMC will perform the following activities for one (1) AMI Cloud Data Implementation in up to three (3) environments (Production, Non-Production, and Disaster Recovery):
- Conduct a project kick off meeting which will include:
- Scope discussion
- Outline of high-level plan
- Explanation of the installation and configuration process
- Outline the roles and responsibilities to be agreed upon.
- BMC will work in an advisory capacity. Customer is responsible for making all changes.
- Provide a project schedule covering each step of the installation and configuration process and deliver to the Customer
- Capture of historical changes during the process within a Construction Document
- Assess Customer’s current state using a Tape Analysis and deliver the report to Customer
- Prepare an Architecture and Configuration Document and deliver to Customer.
- Prepare Solution Design Document and deliver to Customer
- Prepare a Data Migration Overview and deliver to the Customer
- Prepare Acceptance Test Plan and deliver to Customer.
- Assist Customer for up to 5 consecutive business days with user functional testing
- Prepare the Construction Document and deliver to Customer.
- Prepare the Deployment Plan and deliver to Customer.
- Assist and review product installation and configuration in the test instance
Customer will be responsible for:
- Having a license for the selected BMC product or solution.
- Providing access and privileges for BMC staff to include:
- Current product version installed on test LPAR
- Product Administration access
- Allocating resources to set up required elements:
- Linux support
- Object Storage support
- Network support.
- Mainframe z/OS® security support
- Mainframe z/OS® installation support
- APF authorization of Load Library
- Raising environment change requests
- Agreeing on timeline and change windows
- Performing user functional testing using the Acceptance Test Plan
- Maintaining and ensuring back-ups and recovery files
- Having an LPAR running supported versions of z/OS® on z/OS® compatible hardware
- Providing a PC capable of using FTP to transfer the installation file, IND$FILE or other capability, with standard web browser, and JavaScript enabled
- Providing a TCP/IP port, AT-TLS for a secured HTTPS connection to web browser
- Providing secured ZFS directory space for the disk database
Deliverables: Using BMC’s standard methodology and templates, the following Deliverables are in scope for this project and will be delivered:
- Project Schedule
- Architecture and Configuration Document
- Tape Analysis Report
- Solution Design Document
- Acceptance Test Plan
- Construction Document
- Data Migration Overview
- Deployment Plan
Project Milestone:
The following milestones are established between the Customer and BMC. Once BMC has reached a milestone, the BMC project manager will issue a milestone completion letter to Customer.
Milestone 1: Upon completion of all workshops and delivery of the Solution Design Document, Acceptance Test Plan, and Solution Validation Plan.
Milestone 2: Upon completion of building and configuration of all environments. Ensure the management server and agent are up and running.
Milestone 3: Upon completion of build and testing of all environments. Confirming system readiness, replacing old functionalities, and setting up/verifying recovery mechanisms. Delivery of the Construction Document.
Milesteone 4: Upon completion of migration planning phase. Ensuring data integrity and consistency followed by knowledge transfer to hand off the Migration effort to the customer. BMC to provide Migration Toolkit and work with customer on Migration Plan.
Completion Criteria: BMC will have completed the Service when the in-scope Service have been completed and the Deliverables have been reviewed in accordance with the Terms of Use and delivered to the customer Project Manager.
