Enhance your existing Digital Workplace Advanced (DWPA) instance by creating Requestable Services, along with selectable options to integrate an out of the box bi-directional connector, and/or enrich a current DWPA home page or create a custom DWPA home page of your own.

What you get:

BMC will perform the following based on the selected levers:

Basic:

  • BMC will configure 5 Basic* Services that can be requested by end users from BMC Digital Workplace.

Intermediate: 

  • BMC will configure 5 Intermediate* Services that can be requested by end users from BMC Digital Workplace.

Advanced/Complex: 

  • BMC will configure 2 Advanced/Complex* services that can be requested by end users from BMC Digital Workplace.

Bi-directional Service Connector:

  • Assist the Customer with configuration of one integration from the following out-of-the box, bi-directional Service Connector* options:
    • Microsoft Active Directory Connector – Create and update users, groups, and computers in Microsoft Active Directory
    • AWS Marketplace Connector – Provision Amazon EC2 Cloud instances
    • AWS Service Catalog Connector – Import services from AWS Service Catalog
    • Azure Connector - Provision Azure services
    • Citrix Xen App Connector – Import virtual apps from the Citrix Xen App server
    • Citrix Xen Desktop Connector – Import virtual desktop from the Citrix Xen desktop server
    • Citrix XenMobile Connector – Provision a list of mobile applications available on the Citrix XenMobile server
    • Flexera Connector – Request licenses by querying Flexera database
    • Microsoft Office 365 Connector – Manage users in Microsoft Office 365

DWP Studio:

  • BMC will assist the Customer with their DWP home page or create one custom page which will be accessed by the end user from BMC Digital Workplace.
  • The enrichments will be limited to the capabilities provided by BMC Helix Digital Workplace Studio.

Pre-requisites:

  • Customer has an implemented BMC Helix ITSM platform.
  • Customer has a current license for BMC Helix Digital Workplace Advanced.
  • Customer has a current license for BMC Helix Integration Service if using BMC Service Connectors.
  • Customer has existing Foundation Data loaded. 
  • Customer will be responsible for:
    • Conducting functional testing
    • Providing access to 3rd party integration servers

  • The options of Basic, Intermediate & Advanced/Complex provide customers with the choice of creating additional services with varying complexity within their Digital Workplace catalog.

Deliverables: Using BMC’s standard methodology and templates, the following Deliverables are in scope for this project and will be delivered:

  • Construction Document

Completion Criteria: BMC will have completed the Service when the in-scope Service have been completed and the Deliverables have been reviewed in accordance with the Terms of Use and delivered to the customer Project Manager.  From delivery start date, the service must be consumed and completed within 30 days.  Consultant days must be booked in no less than 8-hour increments/full days.

  • Foundation Data: Foundation data is data required for the application to function properly and is defined as:

    • People (includes group memberships, application permissions and functional roles)

  • OOTB (out of the box) Service Connector: BMC Helix Digital Workplace catalog integrates with external fulfilment systems through Service Connectors, which pass information from a service request to an external system.
  • Basic Service: A service composed of one (1) fulfilment ticket, up to eight (8) questions, up to one (1) entitlement and no approvals.
  • Intermediate Service: A Service composed of two (2) fulfillment tickets, up to twenty (20) questions, three (3) entitlements and one (1) Line Manager approval.
  • Advanced/Complex Service: A Service composed of up to (5) fulfillment tickets, up to hundred (100) questions, up to five (5) entitlements, and three (3) Levels of Line Manager or Custom Approval process.
  • DWP Studio: The BMC Helix Digital Workplace studio enables you to create content rich visually appealing pages for the best user experience for your lines of business. You can create customized pages that align with your organization branding, consistent global appearance and feel, and provide a seamless experience to your users.
  • Country-Specific Staffing: Upon Customer’s request and BMC resource availability, BMC will deviate from BMC’s Standard Delivery model. BMC will work with Customer to understand and address their country-specific staffing requirements. The staffing choice from which country a BMC resource comes from will be mutually agreed to by BMC and Customer.
  • Standard Delivery: A mix of BMC consultants and project managers sourced from various BMC locations.
